Chairman's Message

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my great pleasure to announce the 15th Mind-Body Interface (MBI) International Symposium is to be held physically in Taichung, on Oct. 20-21, 2025.
Organized annually by Mind-Body Interface Research Center (MBI-lab) at China Medical University Hospital, we are delighted to co-chair with International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research (ISNPR) and PNIRSAsia-Pacific Symposium this year.

The main theme this year is "Integrating Nutrition, Neuroscience and Digital Technology: Advancing Brain Health".

The MBI International Symposium has been vigorously promoting a global agenda of translational neuroscience by encouraging interdisciplinary research, and integrating biomedical discovery and development focused on patients, to provide better care and service in the field of mental health. With the introduction of ChatGPT and other AI driven technologies, health care becomes more accessible to the general public, and will definitely revolutionize the way we manage physical and mental health. This year, our theme is “Integrating Nutrition, Neuroscience and Digital Technology: Advancing Brain Health”. We will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, telehealth, digital health, and how innovative wearable technology is used in healthcare. The utilization of AI in healthcare systems is crucial and imperative due to its ability to enhance precision and accuracy while reducing the time required for various aspects of the system. However, there might be several limitations with AI utilization, thus, we hope this year’s symposium will help address the potential role of AI in current and future healthcare. The symposium will also feature other important topics, including immunology, metabolic processes and molecular science, psychopharmacology, psychology, addiction science, and the brain-gut-microbe axis as well as biological processes and factors underlying the links between diet, nutrition and mental health from the perspective of Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and other traditional medicines. Furthermore, there will be a strong focus on the use of brave approach and big data, neuroimaging, personalized medicine, lifestyle intervention, health promotion and disease management, and epidemiology and population studies in brain disorders.

MBI Symposium is insightful and inspiring with active discussion among participants. With the great Taiwanese hospitality and richness of cultural and natural heritage of Formosa, the 15th MBI Symposium is guaranteed to be another wonderful event like it has been in the previous years. We look forward to greeting our biomedical researchers, psychiatrists and other health professionals worldwide in Taichung.

Sincerely yours,
